FLORIDA REGION REFEREE REQUIREMENTS - SafeSport Training
NOTE: SafeSport Training now expires every two years! Most officials must renew EVERY OTHER season.
SafeSport training is required for anyone who has authority over or frequent contact with athletes, including officials. Completion of training is required prior to any contact with athletes. The Center for SafeSport Refresher 1 training is for those members who have completed the Core Center for SafeSport Training (has also been called the Two-Season SafeSport Training).
Once registered you can access your SafeSport trainings in the USA Volleyball Academy.

SafeSport Training for Florida Region Members
As you register for your your annual membership, SportsEngine will indicate whether you need to take the SafeSport refresher course. if you do, you will be directed to complete the course as part of your registration process.
Click on the Household tab on the left side of the home screen.
Click on your name - it may say "me" in the banner across the upper left corner of the block.
On the next screen click on the "view details" link.
Expand the box that says 21-22 Florida Adult - Official
Click on the SafeSport Certification - Refresher 1 button if it is not "completed."
This will take you right to the course.
If you have completed your SafeSport training for this season and your background screen has cleared, you will see a green button net to your name that says "eligible."
