WHAT: The local Junior Athlete Membership is a membership that the Florida Region created in the 22-23 season to provide opportunities for local level teams to participate in USA Volleyball events.
WHO: This membership is for teams that typically play in smaller one-day tournaments and would not otherwise travel outside of their district to play in an event. The goal is for these teams to be exposed to USA Volleyball events and be a part of the USA Volleyball family.
WHY: USA Volleyball continues to set the standard for Athlete Safety. Having local team participate in USAV sanctioned local events, affords the team an opportunity to play in an environment where athlete safeguards are priority #1.
Clubs that are already running mini club leagues, smaller scrimmage events, or local events are encouraged to reach out to the Florida Region to sanction these events with USA Volleyball.

A: No, this membership is specifically for the smaller one-day tournaments geared towards local level teams that would not normally travel outside of their local area.

A: We are expecting to use this membership for local level tournaments that are being hosted by clubs throughout the year. Teams will also be eligible to participate in the ASICS Florida Volleyball Challenge as their end of the year tournament in the Local Division and compete for the season-ending Local Division Championships.
