ADULT OFFICIALS | STEPS TO BECOMING AN INDOOR OFFICIAL

The following steps are for any adult interested in becoming a USAV Indoor Official!

STEP 1

REGISTER WITH USAV

All officials must be members of USA Vollleyball.

STEP 2

COMPLETE ONLINE TRAINING

Online training courses provide the detailed rules and technique instruction for new officials. The courses take about 4 hours to complete. They do not have to be completed in one sitting.

STEP 3

IN-PERSON ORIENTATION MEETING

There will be approximately 4 to 5 in-person orientation meetings held at various locations throughout the Region.  The orientations will be held in December and January. Candidates are strongly encouraged to complete the online training before attending the orientation meeting.

STEP 4

ACCEPT NOVA INVITATION
You will receive an invitation to the NOVA assigning system after you have completed steps 1-3. Accept the invitation and enter your available dates for on-court evaluation and training.

STEP 5

ON-COURT TRAINING AND EVALUATION

After completing online training and attending an orientation meeting, candidates will be eligible to receive on-court evaluation and training. This will be scheduled through the NOVA assigning system.
